2006 Pinot Noir
Russian River Valley
Grapes: 100% Pinot Noir
Harvest date: October 1st
Alcohol: 13.4%
Cases Produced: 104
Retail price: $42
Tasting Notes:
This delightful Pinot Noir comes from the heart of Sonoma County's Russian River appellation, an area known for its dense night fogs with cool temperatures and with warm summer afternoons. Lauterbach Vineyard sits on a gentle slope above the valley floor, allowing air currents to flow through the vineyard. It is an ideal site for premium Pinot Noir grapes. Full-time emergency physician Stew Lauterbach tends his outstanding Pinot Noir vineyard and makes wine as a serene antidote to the intense and stressful pace of a busy emergency department. Our 2006 release is limited to 104 cases and is unfined and unfiltered, so some sediment may occur. We hope you enjoy it as much as we have enjoyed growing the grapes and making the wine. |

2007 Syrah Rosé
Russian River Valley
Grapes: 100% Syrah
Harvest date: October 28
Alcohol: 15.0%
Cases Produced: 118
Retail price: $19
Tasting notes:
This is our second vintage rosé . In 2006 we decided a summer wine and produced one barrel (about 25 cases) which sold out in no time. Our 2007 turned out even better than the 2006. Again we made one barrel.
This is incredibly dry with a smooth and lingering mouth feel uncharacteristic of rosé.
We love drinking this on a hot day. Because of the full body it goes well with food including burgers, making it ideal for that summer barbecue. |

Grapes: 100% Syrah
Harvest date: 2001
Alcohol: 14.8%
Cases Produced: 121

Tasting notes:
Dark and lush, smoky blackberry and coffee aromas entice
and flavors of sour cherries and licorice continue the romance.
Well-balanced yet powerful, concentrated fruit punches through the
fulfilling finish.
Score: 89
Ripe and complex, with a medley of spice, black cherry, olive and cola flavors, along with a slight mulchy edge that folds into generous cedar- and mocha-scented oak accented by firm tannins. Drink now through 2009. 121 cases made.
